has a message for you...
It is with great sadness, anger, disappointment, but also complete relief to announce that I will NOT be opening my salon. Relief that we found out that there had been a total flood in my space that wasn’t disclosed, while simultaneously getting news AFTER tearing up the floor that the POA wasn’t going to allow us to tap into the main water.
While this is such a long story, the cliff notes is the seller wasn't honest, the flood wasn’t disclosed, my agent didn’t do ANY due diligence in regards to the rules of the POA, AND after paying my plumber to tear up the floors we were told we couldn’t have extra water and to put it all back. (Apparently foundations are considered common element in a POA)
We have an attorney on hand, but feel confident that the broker is going to make this right and are praying we will not be out any of the money we put in.
While I am so incredibly sad, I feel there are soooooo many lessons to be learned here. I am so thankful that the water issue came up or we would’ve never even know about the flood. (Which is how we’re hopefully able to get out)
I don’t know what the future has in store for me, but for now, I’m just trying to decompress from the stress. I will be renewing my lease at my current location. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
XOXO
